I get the proper channel number beside the name of the channel if I do the glitch, whereas with say Channel 4 HD or other such channels not on the ROI EPG, I get '000' and 'This programme cannot be inserted into Planner' warnings if I try to record. Such as, I can record the ROI version of channels such as Nickelodeon through Other Channels, but not the UK version.

I've tried mucking about with a few things and it does depend on what is on your EPG on what you can record on other channels. I don't think they can be tuned in though anyway on Sky boxes because when scanned they show as data channels, and whether they'd have the data broadcast along with the channels that allows the glitch with the BBC RB is another question. Sky Sports RB programmes used to show up in the A-Z search on the HD (But not SD) boxes last year or the year before, I remember people being able to start recording the Sky F1 red button feeds through this method (Though it never recorded the full stream for some reason, stopped after 15 minutes) and I used to record some of the red button content of the coverage of the Masters tennis this way, which were some of the few things that have not had the option of a match choice style recording menu. I wonder if it would work with the likes of sky sports red button programs? Then you can record any show that starts within the next 12 hours.
